
Beurre Bakery

Background
For this project we were tasked with creating a brand identity for a bakery with a unique selling point. Beurre is a bakery that prides itself on using local, fresh, organic ingredients and preparing its products in traditional French ways.
The deliverables for this project were a complete branding package with logo and package design, along with a clear rationale behind the design. This project included extended research of different bakeries nearby to try to find a selling point that none of the others had to make it unique and individual. Further research went into French process baking and different farming industries in the area to make sure the idea of using local organic produce was an applicable selling feature.
Objective
The goal of this project was to create a logo that incorporates the brand essence of Beurre, as well as highlight the key selling features of the brand. This needed to appeal to the target audience and bring interest to the new bakery, bringing in new clients and refreshing the branding for returning customers. The logo needed to abide by the brand standards, and also be able to stand on its own for packaging and print collateral.
Audience
The target audience for this project is primarily Millennials and Gen X. These demographics are the most likely to enjoy artisan, hand crafted food that may cost more, but will always be worth it. They are the heart of the business, the people that become return customers and develop favorites that keep them coming back for more.
